Introduction to Computer Basics

Computers are tools used to process the data according to procedures that have been formulated. Word computer originally used to describe people who perkerjaannya perform arithmetic calculations, with or without a walker, but the meaning of this word is then transferred to the machine itself. Originally, the processing of information is almost exclusively related to arithmetical problems, but modern computers are used for many tasks unrelated to mathematics. (Wikipedia)
computer basic parts:

  •     Input devices
  •     Central processing unit (CPU)
  •     Output devices
  •     External memory

1.Input device
Input devices can be defined as equipment which is used to enter data to the computer. Type of input device that is owned by his example a computer, keyboard, mouse, light-pen, scanner, finger print, etc.
2.Central proocessing unit (cpu)
This section serves as a holder of control of the course of computer activities, and because of that, the CPU is also called the brain of the computer. Apart from that, the CPU also serves as a place to perform various data processing. Data processing work including: notes, view, read, compare, calculate, recall, sort and compare.
In their work, the function of the CPU is divided into:
- Internal Memory / Main Memory, serves to store data and programs.
- ALU (Arithmatic Logical Unit), to implement perbagai kinds of calculations.
- Control Unit, responsible for managing all computer operations
3.Output device
Output devices can be defined as equipment that serves to release the results of processing or data processing from the CPU into a medium that can be read by humans or can be used for data storage process results. Type of output device which is owned by computer printers, monitors, plotters, voiceres, etc.
4.External memory
External memory can be interpreted as a memory which is outside the CPU. Also referred to as Secondary Storage or Storage or Memory Backup Backing which is used to store data and programs. Data and programs stored in external memory, in order to serve the data and programs should be transferred into the internal memory first. Among other types of external memory disk, the hard-disk, tape, CD, flash disk, card etc.
While the program is called with a set of detailed instructions or commands that have been prepared so that the computer can perform its functions in a way that was certain. program is also an interface between humans and computers.
Most basic bit = units in the network "organ" computer, or the inside of the computer. Basically the bit number is representative of the flow of electricity, ie there are only 2 that is only 1 and 0, which can be called 1 = 0 = no electricity and no electricity.
Byte = nah, it's only the most basic units of computers. 1 byte consists of 8 bits. Hence a byte can represent numbers to 255, (if long described as the relation of mathematics ama, short number 15 decimal = 1111 in the number of bits). byte can also represent a computer character.
file = archive that is stored in a medium, which consists of a collection of characters, and documented in the form of digital data by a computer.
= On field in the database is defined as the specific identity of an object. For example a car object, blue field, the field of diesel fuel, etc..
1. Operating System, is software that operates the computer and provides the interface with other software or with the user.
Examples of operating systems: MS DOS, MS Windows (with different generations),
Macintosh, OS / 2, UNIX (various versions), LINUX (with various
distribution), NetWare, etc.
2. Utilities Programs, is a special program that serves as a computer maintenance tools, such as anti-virus, disk partition, disk management, etc.. Examples of product utility programs: Norton Utilities, PartitionMagic, McAfee, etc.
3. Application Program, a program developed to meet specific needs. Example: application of accounting, banking applications, manufacturing applications, etc.
Advantages PC (Personal Computer):

It does not take place, because its shape is not large (such as mainframes)

Can be used as a client or server. And can also standalone

General Purpose, a computer developed for general needs.
Copy: duplicate the original file without having to menghapuss original file is in place (folder) original
Cut: move the original file from the place (folder) initial place (folder) is desired. Place the original file (folder) will be removed early.
